I'm about to leave for Black Rock City, which exists only for a week in the middle of a Nevada desert for Burning Man.

I'm not sure what to expect, as this is my first Burning Man. I've heard it described as everything from a "giant hippie fest" to the most spectacular party with 30,000 other people that I will ever see. All I know is that when I return in 4 days, I'll be covered in a half inch of playa dust that is nearly impossible to get out of your clothing.

Whatever happens, Burning Man is an adventure I look forward to. And the best part: no phones & no internet or email--just me, the sun, and 4 days of partying.
